You could make a difference in your community by becoming a Senior Companion. Senior Companions provide weekly friendly visits and companionship to seniors who are homebound or socially isolated. Volunteers offer companionship through friendly in-person visits, virtual check-ins, and/or regular telephone calls. By building meaningful connections, volunteers help older adults feel supported, valued, and more connected to their community. The program is free to participant and serves people of all beliefs. Benefits for Volunteers include: · Build a friendly relationship with older adults over the phone · Increase in community engagement · Ongoing skill development · Able to make a difference from the comfort of your own home Successful Volunteers: · Must be 18 years or older · Must be able to pass a background check · Have strong communication skills · Enjoy socializing with others · Are available to complete 1 visit and 1 call (approximately 95 minutes per week,) per client Click here to apply!
