The Telephone Reassurance Program (TRP) is a friendly caller program that matches volunteer callers to older adults in our community. The Program connects older adults and volunteers through weekly telephone conversations that foster connection and reduce social isolation and feelings of loneliness. Telephone Reassurance Participants and Volunteers develop person-to-person supportive relationships. You can socialize from the comfort of your own home!
Benefits for Volunteers include:
- Build a friendly relationship with older adults over the phone

- Ongoing skill development
- Able to make a difference from the comfort of your own home
Successful Volunteers:
- Must be 18 years or older
- Must be able to pass a background check
- Have strong listening skills
- Enjoy socializing with others
- Are available to complete 2 calls (approximately 15-30 minutes each call) per week, per client
