Who We Are

We Care of Grundy County was established as a resource for people in Grundy County who are in need. Our simple, yet powerful motto, "A helping hand, neighbor to neighbor" captures the spirit of what we are about...friends helping friends.

None of us can say with any certainty what we will encounter in our lives. Life happens...and events such as job loss, loss of a loved one, sickness or catastrophe can cause anyone to find themselves in a time of need.

We Care of Grundy County is here to help.

What We Do

We Care of Grundy County offers services ranging from Food, Clothing, One-time Rent/Mortgage Assistance, Utility, & Holiday Assistance.
We understand that anything can happen to anyone, and sometimes it is difficult to ask for help when you really need it. Our caring staff is here to help in times of crisis. You are not alone.

PATHWAY OF HOPE
The Salvation Army's Pathway of Hope initiative provides individualized services to families with children who desire to take action to break the cycle of crisis and vulnerability that repeats generation after generation. It seeks to address the root causes of poverty in addition to The Army's history of compassionate serving. By helping families overcome challenges like unemployment, unstable housing, and lack of education, we can lead families down a path toward increased stability and, ultimately, self-sufficiency.

If you have been living in a crisis situation, and you are ready to make a change in your life, Pathway of Hope may be the the answer for you. We have caring Pathway of Hope case workers who will dedicate time to meet with you weekly, set goals and work with you to help achieve those goals.

EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS & SUPPORT GROUPS
We have a variety of educational programs and support groups that range from life skills, parenting through trauma, empowerment and mental health. Please follow our Facebook page to find out about current programs.
