Grundy County Heroes & Helpers Inc.

Grundy County Heroes & Helpers Inc. is a charitable 501(c)(3) organization that consists of first responders, their families and community volunteers who dedicate their time to help children and families in Grundy County, Illinois.  Our focus is to help these families while they are enduring loss, trauma, poverty, and hardships.

Our main event is "Shop With A Local Hero", every December children in Grundy County, IL whose families are suffering from some type of hardship are selected through an application process are bussed with their Hero (Police, Deputy, Fireman, EMT or Military) and a volunteer to Walmart in Morris where they are giving a set dollar amount to select clothing, shoes and necessities, bussed from Walmart to a local church where they enjoy lunch with Santa and have fun picking out toys and games at our Santa's toy land.  

We also partner every year with local Fire Departments in Grundy County offering a "FREE" Easter Bunny meet & greet for all families.
